I recently have been made aware of a few shady people selling horses on Dream horse and Equine. com. A very close friend of mine entered into a contract to purchase a Fjord from a "ranch" in Cody Wyoming, she mailed them a check for $1000.00 down payment. After only a few days the ranch backed out of the deal, but refused to return the deposit stating the contract stated “either party could cancel at any time forfeiting the deposit”. She attempted to discuss this with the seller, but met with a very belligerent and threatening personality. I’ve heard this is not the first time this business has done this. I am in search of a new horse and would appreciate a show on the does and don’t of purchasing, not just health confirmation.

The premise of the book is not necessarily a story about their most famous horse, or even their most valuable horse, but about the one that evokes emotion at the mere mention of his/her name or a fond remembrance of that particular horse and the bond built between human and horse.
The stories are incredible from rodeo greats like Larry Mahan, Roy Cooper and Trevor Brazile; entertainers like Michael Martin Murphey talking about "Wildfire"; western artist Bruce Green and the fabulous equine artist Orren Mixer who painted the official horse for 7 different breed registries. In addition to the 39 interviews in the book is a foreword written by baseball legend, Nolan Ryan who is also a cattle rancher and horse lover.
