    Congrats on Zara, Yeah those babies are so energetic. Last year when our colt was born, we used Monty's Figure Eight Rope for training babies. We had always used just a rump rope, but the Fig. 8 takes it to the next level. It was so easy allowing the foal to relax and figure out what all this meant and it was so easy to hold him and you are never pulling on his head. He is now 18 months old and still really soft in the halter and I have been using a neck rope to teach him to back up and turn both ways. I feel that all this softness goes back to starting him with the Fig. 8.
    Enjoy the journey with Zara. Monty has been my great inspiration since I took the Intro Course. When things go south, I find myself slowing down and saying "What would Monty do?"
